Rehabilitation and therapy helps individuals recuperate, get strong and get back to everyday life, no matter the service is needed. Our physical, occupational and speech therapists work with residents, families and medical teams to create a personalized care plan – and help restore independence as soon as possible.
Oak Lane Short-Stay Therapy offers comprehensive medical and rehabilitative services for patients discharged from the hospital who no longer need hospital care, but require an additional inpatient stay. This unit serves as a bridge returning you to your home and is designed to focus on your individualized therapy program.
Short-stay patients enjoy their own dedicated therapy gym with state-of-the-art equipment. Physical therapy, Occupational therapry, and Speech therapy are offered up to seven times per week. Your discharge planning starts the day you arrive.
By the time you are ready to return home, our social workers have contacted agencies to establish continued services or make referrals as needed. If adaptive equipment or assistive devices are needed, our staff will assist you with identifying resources and obtaining required items. Our nursing and therapy staff also provide education before your discharge on medication management, wound care, outpatient therapy, living with chronic disease, and other areas needed to ensure your continued success upon discharge.
